2024 Bursary Recipients

Two well deserving students received the Elliott & Rosche Memorial Bursary from the LSWC in June.

In memory of Brian Elliott and Brian Rosche, the LSWC awards a bursary to a deserving student in our watershed that is pursuing post secondary education in sciences. in 2024 the LSWC was pleased to award two deserving students with a $1,000 bursary.
Amara Drefs, from High Prairie, AB completed her third year towards her Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Sciences from Queens University and we are pleased to help her out with her 2024 expenses.
Julia Knutson, a grade 12 graduate of Roland Michener High School in Slave Lake entered her first in year at University of Alberta, where she will work towards her Bachelor of Science in Biology.

Thank you very much to the individuals who contribute annually to the LSWC’s Elliott & Rosche Memorial Bursary.
In 2023 and 2024 we received donations from Nona and Bruce Elliott in Memory of Brian Elliott and from Alona Burger in memory of Brian Rosche.
